Most people buy tech based on what's on sale, what a salesperson recommends, or what a friend has. The result is often a device that doesn't work well with what you already own. Don will assess your needs, your existing setup, and your budget — then find and purchase exactly the right product for you. There is no charge for this service, as long as you pay with a non-fee method of payment.
"Brand stores are set up to sell you their ecosystem. Big box stores are set up to move inventory. Don is set up to make your tech work — for you, with what you already have. He has no sales quota, no brand loyalty, and no incentive to upsell. Just honest advice from someone who will also be the one setting it up."

How Concierge Shopping Works
Needs assessment
Don reviews what you have, what you need, and what you want to accomplish. This can be done by phone, email, or during a regular service call.
Research & recommendation
Don researches current options across multiple Canadian brands and retailers, then presents you with a clear recommendation — with reasons why it fits your setup.
Sourcing
Don will find the best source, sale prices and even coupons to obtain the best deal for you. Then bring it in to do the initial setup. By constantly monitoring sales, you can be advised on the best timing.
Setup & integration
Once the device arrives, initial set-up and data transfer can be done before delivery. Don sets it up and integrates it with everything else you own — so it works right from day one.

What it costs
Pricing
There is no cost for concierge shopping. You are only billed for the services required (for example, data transfer, device setup, installation, on-site visit) plus reimbursement of the vendor invoice for items purchased on your behalf. If you choose to pay the reimbursement with a credit card, there is a fee of $3 per $100 (rounded up) to cover credit card processing fees. This fee is waved when paying with cheque or e-transfer. If you simply want shopping research and advice, that would be billed as consulting.
